For our elevator pitches we did in class, we tried summarizing our project in just 30 seconds. We started with saying our names, and what we were holding, which was the art fair. After that we explained the cause of our project and what we were trying to accomplish. We were mainly holding the art fair to give to the fine arts boosters club. They help do things for different art communities including art, music, band, choir, etc. Once we really thought about it though we were actually helping the community and others at our school, and town. We were able to spread awareness and give artists a place to show off their talents. Next we said where, when, and how you can get involved. We really needed to make sure we would have a lot of entrees, and voters, so we said that our audience could enter, come vote, and tell their friends to come out and be a part of the art fair. We are so thankful and happy so many people were able to come out and vote, and entered their art.

The Bethalto Art Fair was an overall success. There were several things that went smoother than what we expected. We were worried about turnout and how many people would enter. We ended up with about 30 people entered, which lead to a really successful turnout, because their family and friends came to vote. We had about 50 voters, which was surprising to us. We expected a lot of downtime, but there was constantly people voting. We were very pleased with the art there, and it was a good experience for us and the people who entered. It was surprising to see the talent our classmates had. The coloring contest was a lot of fun. We judged them based on effort, neatness, and imagination. All of the entrees were a lot of fun to go through and see what kids did to make it their own. We had over 100 kids enter, which lead to more donations to the fine arts boosters club. Overall, this experience was fun and we were able to spread awareness about a good cause.
We accomplished many things since the new year. We have been able to talk to many people that are able to help us to get the word out. We are finishing up a lot of the details and information about the project. We finished the flyers and they will be posted around classrooms and Bethalto. We are working on getting the prizes and getting stuff printed out for people to sign up.
Starting this project we had no clue what we wanted to do our project one. It was a struggle trying to figure out an idea that we would be able to complete ourselves. We thought of some things we are good at and decided that since we all are good at art and drawing we should hold an art fair. We thought about a lot of things and were successful in figuring out what we were doing exactly. I have been keeping a list of things we need to accomplish in the next few weeks and we are meeting up to discuss what we are going to do to finish getting all the details for the art fair. Once we meet up I will get some stuff for the prizes, tickets, etc. along with Caroline and we will hopefully be have a large crowd. We are going to be putting out flyers with the details and this website so the participants can get more information. Right now I am in charge of the prizes and voting. We have thought about people voting for the one they like most and giving them some things like a notebook, paintbrushes, colored pencils, etc. I have accomplished getting some ideas for the prizes and helping with getting a place to hold it and date. My goal for our presentation is to talk about our reason for holding it and how the people who entered benefited from it. We are going to interview one or more of the participants for our presentation. I will do my best to get everything we need for this and be able to be successful. My new years resolution for this project is to work more on it and work harder so we can get everything ready for the project.
This week I was able to make a trip to the village hall and get a few dates for when we could rent out the senior center across the street. I told them what we were planning to rent it for a non profit art fair. They were very nice and donated the room to us. Special thanks to Sue E. Lowrance, village clerk. We will hold the art fair in the senior center across the street from the Bethalto village hall. It will be on February 16, 2019 in the morning, sometime in the morning. More details on the time will be coming soon. We are now starting on posters, and getting the word out about what we are planning. We are working on the design and will get them up sometime soon. We will include our email, website, the time, date, and location. These posters will be up in various locations such as around the school, on a board at the library, the board outside schnucks and other places similar to those. Also talking to the fine arts boosters to talk about donating the profits to them. We want to give the money to them because they are very giving in helping people involved in acting, choir, art, and band. We would like to give back to them.
In the past week we have only completed our website and come up with ideas regarding the project and art fair, we have been discussing details. We are planning on getting a location settled and figuring out where we will hold it. We have a few ideas, but do not have a set place just yet. Major ideas include parks, citizen centers, libraries, and the boys and girls club. Some ideas regarding the art fair include snacks, finger painting for kids, voting, and prizes. The snack bar will be run by Tanna and we will purchase the snacks and sell them at the fair. Chips, soda, water, candy, etc. Finger Painting will be run by Brooke, and kids will be able to finger paint and express their creativity. Voting will be run by Caroline at a ticket stand. You will be able to buy a certain amount of tickets and vote for which pieces of art are their favorite. At the end I will count the tickets and give out a prize for the majority vote. Throughout this week we will hopefully have a location for the art fair set. We will ask the village hall for details for certain places or go to the village website to figure out costs and details.
Hi, I'm Isabella, and I'm a student at Civic Memorial High School and me and my group are working on a project to hold an art fair. This project is called a 20-time project. This is a project we do in school to help the community and town. I like to draw, sketch, and paint, like all of my group mates. I also enjoy watching movies and TV shows, and read. My group has been friends for a long time and we will work hard to hold a successful art fair. We all love to draw and I know that they all are very talented. They all create very impressive artwork and its a bummer that they don't get to show everyone how talented they are. I believe that this is a problem for everyone. I recently have been drawing more often and I can see myself getting better and this art fair will inspire me to continue getting more practice. That is why I am excited to hold this art fair. We are still working on a lot of things that will make this art fair possible, and this is because we have only just got started. We have accomplished getting the main idea, the and the website. We will hopefully have more details on this website next week about how to enter, what it is, and what our project is. I am really excited for this project and I hope we can get a lot of support and people to enter.
