When my group and I first started working on our 20 Time project, we were not really sure how we were going to make this project work. The main idea we wanted for our project was for everyone any age to be able to enter or compete in our activity so everyone can enjoy. We also wanted to create an opportunity for an event that you don't really see anymore now a day. After thinking and contemplating what would be perfect to host for our community, we decided a community art fair would be perfect to host! Everyone in our group enjoys doing art, so we thought that if we do a art fair, we would not only be creating a opportunity for everyone, but it would also be enjoyable for all of us to work on. One main idea that we had for the art fair was to have a food table for everyone that comes and goes, but we decided that it would be better to not get hands on a beverage/snack table because it could cause a big mess and it could ruin peoples art. Right now, our group is together, and we are finalizing the ideas for the art fair, and we have our parents here for permission to make sure everything would work. In the future, we plan on working on printing flyers and hanging them all around Bethalto

We have finally figured out the date for our local art fair! The set date will be February 16th. We will be holding our art fair later in the morning, and it will probably end in the mid afternoon. When one of our group members Isabella went to the village hall, she told them we were wanting to put on a art fair to raise money for the fine arts. The village hall was very nice to Isabella, and they decided to donate one of the rooms for us to hold the art fair for free! Special thanks to Sue E. Lowrance the Village Clerk of the Village of Bethalto! Our next step for our 20time project is to figure out the exact time we will be hosting our art fair. We also will be working on our advertisement and publications. Today in class we picked out the type of flyers we would make to put around our school, and in Bethalto. Last, we are also working on things from last week, like buying and getting our supplies together for the big day. We need to hurry and get things figured out, because February will be here soon before we know it! Stayed tuned to our website to read next weeks blogs!
Hello! In previous weeks, we've been discussing small details needed for the art fair to officially happen. This week of school, we are starting to brainstorm locations in Bethalto that the art fair can take place. For our location, we are either going to try to set up at a park, the senior citizen, or possibly our community's library. At the moment we are still gathering up ideas that would be convenient and cheap for set up. Other ideas we've come up with is having snacks, a finger painting station for kids, and possibly having prizes for the top three winners. We will need people to run these extra activities. Our teammate Tanna plans on running the snack bar, Caroline will be in charge of the voting/tickets, Isabella is buying the prizes for the contestants, and I will be running and bringing the supplies for the finger/face paining station. Tanna plans of purchasing snacks from a convenient store instead of home making. Caroline is still unsure about how voting is gonna go. Isabella is deciding where to buy prizes, and who to give them too. Last, I plan on bringing paint that I already have at home, of going to a convenient store to purchase more paint.
Hello! My name is Brooke, and i'm a part of a small group at Civic Memorial High school who is working on a 20Time project for our Honors English class. A 20Time project is a way that we get the opportunity to host an event in our community. My group decided to host an Art Fair in our local community. We decided to create an Art Fair so people can showcase their artwork, and even be entered in a contest and win prizes! Also everyone in my group including I, have always had an interest in art. We thought an Art Fair would be a good idea, and it would attract many people, because in our community there isn't many chances to show your artwork. We plan on hosting this event sometime in 2019. So from now to then, I will be updating this page with our progress every week until we reach the date of the Art Fair. See you next week!
